Musicians of New England: Our Stories
Yolanda Becker
I love that every year is always unique, no student, wedding or performance ever exactly the same. It keeps life exciting and lyrical.
Samirah Evans
Why would you want to be a musician? Well, to me it’s one of the most loving “give and take” experiences in a world of so much strife. It’s the glue that manages to bring people from all ethnicities and walks of life together in the same space. There is nothing that makes me happier than making others happy, or being the conduit of my audience feeling what they need to feel in that moment of taking in the music.
Yahuba Jose Garcia-Torres
As a musician, Yahuba knows no boundaries, he embraces every style of music as if it was his own, and is true to the craft of showmanship. One only needs to see the charismatic joy he delivers through his music to understand how he got his name.
Boston Festival Orchestra
The Boston Festival Orchestra was founded to address the need for more summertime employment opportunities for local professional musicians.
